Four Years Ago Today, Gillingham avoided relegation into League Two on the final day of The 2016 / 2017 Season with a 0-0 draw away against Northampton Town, But we still had to wait six minutes after the full time whistle for The Fleetwood Town V Port Vale Game to finish, because had Port Vale scored in those six minutes, they would have stayed up and Gillingham would have been relegated.

Those six minutes after the full time whistle where we were waiting for The Port Vale result to come through was terrible, and it was a sigh of relief that Gillingham avoided relegation by the skin of our teeth.
