1 win required!

Postby Garawa » Tue Apr 09, 2013 9:33 pm

With Aldershot holding Port Vale tonight, Vale can hit 84 points by winning their remaining games. As the Gills sit on 82, a win Saturday would secure the league title. I am sure Martin Allen would love to do it at Cheltenham. Personally, I think we are due a defeat and can secure it at home to Wimbledon instead. Never thought I would ever hear myself hoping to lose an away game!

Dangerous thinking Garawa,
Happy with a point or win against Cheltenham. The presentation would be at Priestfield anyway, so what's wrong with securing it before the game on the 20th rather than some nasty doubt if we lose against Cheltenham and Vale win?? Did you see the Dortmand and Madrid games tonight?? Funny things happen you know mate!

A draw will be a fantastic result on Saturday. Can't see anyone wanting to lose - espec MA.

Ha ha. Can't believe I wrote that last night in my excitement, didn't think about 3 party games! Bananaman, you would have 1 heck of a birthday!

There was something thrilling about scoring a title winning goal at Priestfield, especially as I am not going to Cheltenham. May just have to run around the block screaming a few times to dispell the excitement!

I am at my 13th away game this season tomorrow. I dont even want to start using words like "we are due a defeat"...can't believe you said that G. Twitchyness would return with a defeat tomorrow and a vale win. The Wombles will be playing out of their skin so we draw....Vale win again....it's all on Burton....don't want it.
As long as we match Vale tomorrow we are there and I have a mate at the Dale who reckons they will beat Vale or draw.
Gills to draw at Chelt- and that to be enough for the title.

Ha ha! We were and we did! Lol.

However, Vale's dropped points and its just the one point needed regardless of what Vale do. And with Vale playing Northampton who are battling to get automatics, it may not be us the secures the Gills first title for almost 50 years!!!!!

Sad to lose but no disgrace.

To become Champions next Saturday will be just perfect
