Gillingham are considering a pre-season training camp in France to blow off the cobwebs.

The players could be back in training at the end of this month if the EFL confirm a September 12 date for a new season - which at the moment is looking the most likely scenario.

It will be a cheap trip, mini van for the players, Evans driving , four bedrooms ,two to a room, and that's the entire team ready to get into" tip top condition", who the hell needs 11 on the pitch when you have six or seven outfielders and two keepers in goal, I smell promotion this year. GO GILLS.

We go out there and the government announces a 2 week quarantine rule when we return. Hardly worth the risk and I'm not sure what we gain from going there. Priority is to sign up some players ASAP, then to get them fit ASAP, then to get some friendlies in the bag then, who knows, we might actually be in a position to start the season.
