Squeeky bum time

Postby Garawa » Tue Apr 09, 2019 10:26 pm

It's that stage of the season when form is everything. No side looks to be making a charge for the play-offs (often a side with a late surge finishes 6th and does well) so they may stay as they are. At the bottom however a poor run could be a killer given how close it is. These look in serious trouble:

Bradford: 5 games to go and 8 points from safety. They have suffered 5 successive defeats and 7 losses in 8.
Walsall: At the half-way stage of the season they were 11th with 31 points. They are now 23rd after 5 successive defeats. They have won just 3 of their last 20 league games and lost 10 of the 13 games since winning 3-0 at Priestfield.
Southend: No wins in 13 league games have seen then slip into the bottom 4.
Wycombe: Had 31 points after 21 games before their draw at Priestfield and sat 9th at the beginning of February, 2 wins off the play-offs. They are 1 point off the drop zone after 5 successive defeats and have taken just 1 point in 10 games (3 in 12).
Accrington: Sit 2 points off the relegation zone having lost 7 of their last 9 league games including 5 in a row at home and have 2 wins in 18.

Who do you fancy to go down?

Think this could all come down to GF/GA, Bradfords gone, Walsall with a minus twenty three goal difference sure don't look good, Southend have about the best goal difference, Wycombe can't seem to hit a barn door from ten paces Wombles seem to be putting points on the board but is it to little to late ?
So my picks are going to be..........Bradford City, Walsall, Southend, and Rochdale, but even teams like Accrington and Bristol Rovers are hardly setting the world on fire.
