Taylor leaves

Postby Garawa » Thu Oct 12, 2017 1:16 pm

New manager must be imminent if Peter Taylor has left. Must be a decent sized name for us not to require a DoF anymore. Begs the question why we needed it before and if Pennock actually was in charge at all. This season gets weirder and weirder.

OK this from Fly The On The Wall in GFC Offices. Scally knew Pillock was a waste of space, but he was cheap, so he gave him PT who also worked for peanuts , the theory being that two numb nuts were better than one.
The new manager, a man to be named before the weekend (Evans) and was Scallys 23 choice, at his interview said, OK we agree I get a 2 year contract, and Taylors gone, I am not sitting here knowing that if after 4 months things are not looking good at GFC me and my guys are gone and Taylor takes over, so Scally reluctantly agreed, said OK but only if you take a 20 quid a week pay cut, and the manager to be named before the weekend (Evans) said OK,it still means I earn more than I do at Mansfield.

I was surprised to see the news Taylor had gone, but it must show a new man does not want a DOF.Also that a new manager is close to being appointed.Taylor`s style like his second stint was so boring to watch. As a Director of Football he would have been good still, but a new manager would probably not want him looking over him like Allen had.

I am all for a Director of Football, I think he can sit the manager down every Monday morning and say OK lets look at the film of the game and discuss what went right what went wrong. I think he can help with bringing in new players, and he can if he has the balls take the brunt of the criticism if things are going wrong, but of course if it's a guy like Pillock then he is not going to complain, if it's a guy like Evans he ain't going to take no crap from anyone least of all a guy like Taylor.
