Yeah THAT team that have P 6, W 3, D1 , L2 , in a division that most people on this site seem to think is about par to the bottom half of the division we are wallowing in, yeah THAT TEAM.
I really find it so frustrating that Gills fans seem to accept mediocrity as the norm, they don't seem to care, while teams like Brighton who only 6 years ago we were drawing with 1-1 are now playing Manchester United, Manchester City, Spurs,Liverpool; etc, etc, and Bournemouth who we beat 1-0 in 2009 are playing top flight footie, and who are we playing next AFC WIMBLEDON a team that in 2002 were playing in the Combined County's League, what ever the hell that is against power houses like Cobham and Sandhurst Town in front of 4,500 people , and what do you bet Tuesday nights gate is going to be less than that, because GFC are such a piss poor club no one wants to go and watch them.
Scally saved the Gills, well that boat has sailed, maybe he should not have saved the Gills, maybe it would have been better to let us go under, reform and start again as KENT FC, or what ever ,where we would have had the population of the whole of Kent supporting us,instead of just the 5,000 loyal Gills supporters we have now.

I'm not sure what the alternative is to acceptance of what the team serves up. Walking away? jeering the players on the pitch? Getting angry at every poor result? Sadly not many of us have the money to finance a 'successful' football club, or are daft enough to try. For every club like Brighton, who have been in the top flight before, there is a Bradford City, Portsmouth or Blackburn, who have been there and are now playing Gillingham.
I understand your frustration Chicago, but we are what we are, a mediocre lower division team and until we get someone in charge with money and the right vision, that is what we will stay.

Norris should do well in League 2,but in league one he was not a regular goalscorer for us.Saying that he would get in our side easily now...

Yeah but at least teams like Bradford , HAVE BEEN THERE, BOURNEMOUTH might well drop strait back to the Championship, even drop into Division ONE like Blackburn, and Wigan, but for one or two glorious years THEY WERE THERE.
How have we benefited playing in Division One and Two for the last 20 years, what the hell have we got to look forward to a any year, an away cup game against Leeds or Watford ,hell we don't even get home ties that often, lol, hell we don't get through the first or second round very often, just year after year of playing Port Vale, or Oldham ,big game Swindon are coming to town, wwwooo f***ing hoooooo.
Maybe if we do go down to Division Two, in the next few years we might be playing Dover, Maidstone, Ebbsfleet, FOUR Kent teams for REAL HOME and AWAY Derbys.
