GILLS MANAGER ANNOUNCED

Adrian Pennock has been confirmed as the Gills manager for the new season with Peter Taylor as director of football!
Taylor must be taking a wage so not attracting the likes of the names mentioned a few weeks ago is probably more about player funds available rather than manager salary. Quite why this has taken all this time to sort out I don't know. The big question is how on earth does Ady make enough spaces to bring players that can do a decent job to make any difference at all to how last season ended??

I am gutted as we saw from Pennock`s four months in charge that we got worse.Yes there were bad things going on behind the scenes, but the win ratio of 19% is poor. Also our style of play was boring with the tactic of hoofing it to Cody.Taylor has a good eye for players, but as a club we just cannot stop looking back.I`ll support the club as I always do,but a lot would have to change in the summer for optimism to go up.Pennock has his own squad to build now,and he can have no excuses if it doesn`t work.

About as forward looking as a 50s revival show. Pathetic return to the cheapest option available.

Doesn't seem a forward thinking move to me but if we can't afford a out to piss in ......
