January Fixtures - Big Month For Gillingham

January is A Huge Month For Gillingham and A Month I believe will define Gillingham's Season One Way or Another, below are Gillingham's Five League Fixtures For January.......
H Oxford United.
A Oldham Athletic
H AFC Wimbledon
A Sheffield United.
H Shrewsbury Town.
Looking at these five fixtures, Sheffield United away is by far our most difficult league fixture, but it is the matches against Oxford United, Oldham Athletic, AFC Wimbledon and Shrewsbury Town which will tell us if Gillingham are going to mount a playoff push if we get a very good points return from these matches, we will consolidate a solid mid-table position, or, we're nervously looking over our shoulder after a bad run of results, if Gillingham can start January by picking up three points today against Oxford United, then that would be fantastic.
January is also a huge month in-terms of transfers, as The January Transfer Window is now open and this gives Justin Edinburgh the chance to strengthen area's of the squad he feels he needs to strengthen for the second half of the season, hopefully, with 1-2 intelligent signings, and a good run of results, then January could well be the start of a very good run for The Gills - well, I say that with a high level of optimism anyway.
