Great to see Josh Wright has signed his new deal. That means we have managed to keep all three of the out of contract players that we wanted to.

What's going on with Dack? It looks like he may stay after all as he appears in all the pictures and videos coming out of training etc.

How can we have so many midfield players and yet we have not signed the one thing we need, a 20 + goals a season player ?? We must have 7 or 8 midfield players, I assume one or two are going to be sent out on loan?

We will NEVER sign a 20+ goal scorer as unless Dack goes they are well out of our reach. We generally sign a reserve player instead that has that potential (Dominic Samuel, Chris Dickson etc). Besides, if he is fit for an entire season Cody McDonald should get very close to that total anyway (not to mention Dack also).

Cody, Quigley, Donnelly and Norris will be vying for the striker slots. How he is going to fit that midfield in I don't know. QPR have pulled out of the race for Dack's signature and I thought he was a cert for Palace so perhaps there has been a bidding war and Palace have won it? I would have thought he would have wanted a good pre-season with them to stake a claim for a first team slot. Perhaps the interest has cooled a lot and only QPR were left? Who knows, guess we will find out soon.

I think if he doesn't go soon he may stay until January when as usual, any team that has had a bad start will be looking for help. I don't think he would go to a bigger club if he couldn't do pre season with them; that doesn't make any sense as it is the only real opportunity a new club could find out what he can really do. Palace have already signed a lot of people and QPR doesn't sound very exciting to me; he may as well stay with us!
