Gills Great Colin Clark
Posted: Tue Jun 02, 2015 3:07 amRecently had the pleasure of meeting Gills Great Colin Clarke, he now managers the Carolina RailHawks in the NASL, playing teams like the famed New York Cosmos (Pele) Tampa Bay Rowdies ( Rodney Marsh) and the Ft Lauderdale Strikers, (who knows) and has them in second place in the table.
The way he was talking I think he is kicking himself for not surpassing Brian's scoring record, he felt he was lined up to do just that but it was not to be.
As we parted and I helped him up out of the gutter , took my last swig of his almost empty vodka bottle he spoke of his time at the Gills with great affection, and I do believe I saw a tear in his eye as he remembered the many happy times he had running out at Preiestfield .
