Hi Steve, are you going on Saturday and travelling down on the usual train? Will be at Milton Keynes for about 10 to travel down!

Very probably Mark, however they have changed the trains from lichfield and they no longer stop at Northampton or MK. Best of all for me is the changes have shaved, no carved, 30 mins off the journey

I expect I will bump into you at St Pancras then or Gillingham or the pub!! Posh, the railways are good.. MK TO GILLINGHAM 2 hrs via Euston and a nice stroll to St Pancras!! Same going back! Much better than the underground to Victoria and then that horrible train via Bromley South!

Sure as hell can't call a train service that does not stop at major stations rubbish . See Japan and your super train, eat your hearts out, we know how to run a railway on time, just never stop anywhere, lol.
I assume MK is a major player in the railway world ? If they don't stop at the majors what do they do at stations like Tovil or Barming, put mattress on the platform for people to jump out on to , tuck and roll ? Hope to hell that Granny does not get her bloomers caught on the door handle, poor woman might be swinging in thin air till Tonbridge.

1066 - I did try to run the competition but due to lack of interest it didn't progress (only 4 entries). It got a bit lost when the old board closed down and this esteemed version wasn't up and running.

Thanks for your interest

Posh - it is rubbish but faster rubbish ;)

Seriously - the changes on the London Midland services from Lichfield to Euston suit me but the price has jumped up. What I don't understand is why can't the TOCs set their own fares and not be dictated to by a higher level?
