I thought we played well today, creating lots of half chances but only really one clear one - the penalty. Bearing in mind the players who did not play or only came on as subs, we were not outclassed by a team in a healthy position from the league above. Indeed, the second goal should never have been allowed to stand unless forwards are now blatently allowed to push defenders over before they score. What on earth was the ref looking at? By all acoounts, although I hadn't found the link then, there was also a push for their first goal! I'm not saying we deserved anything from the game - Preston could have scored more, but all in all, not a bad performance. Now for the important stuff - we need to get back to winning ways in the league, although obviously next week's game is another hard one. Oh, and well done England rugby team; I had half an eye on that one as well! A fantastic performance to thrash the All=Blacks!

Can not understand the goal mouth pushing and shoving, watching a game this evening, players were wrapped up arms inside arms, arms round each others waist, time to produce a few instant yellow cards to stop this immediately or it will resemble the scene from a porn movie real soon
Of course not that I have ever seen a porn movie.

If you can get away with it, then what's the problem? Saw a game on TV last week when the centre forward had held of 2 players and the centre half came in behind them and scored with a header. It was so accomplised it was probably worked on, on the training ground!

Can't agree with you Lidbid - thought we were awful in the first half: we didn't compete; we hardly closed down - it was almost like a practice session for Preston; when we had the ball we gave it away far too cheaply. Whilst the goals conceded I believe were scored after pushes we deserved to be two down.

Second half saw us make a better fist of it but Preston were always in control.

Ok well I 'm not bothered we are out of the cup but I do want us to get out of this no winning streak we are in. Friend of mine has some stats which I wont bore you with but we are not in a good trend and we need to reverse it. Vale and Southend looking much stronger.
Less changes per match.Best players play.
