Quiet time for the Gills

Postby Garawa » Mon Nov 28, 2016 9:24 pm

After Saturday's win there is no game for us now for over 2 weeks! We miss a game this weekend after failing to make it to Round 2 of the cup. We then also miss the following weekend due to having our game with Bolton moved to the Monday, 16 games later. However should Bolton draw their FA Cup Round 2 match at the weekend, they will be due to replay that week! They might then have to play on the Thursday and move their next game to the Sunday or might the match be moved back to the Saturday? Might it even be postponed meaning we go from the 26th November to the 17th December between games?! Not sure why this is like this this year and it's a good job we haven't suffered bad weather!

Then to boot we have no home games over Christmas with away trips on the 26th and 30th! Never known a time when we have been scheduled NOT to play in 4 out of 5 weekends without it being weather related!

If we go that long then Scally will have to be banging on the National Bank Of Dubai managers door begging for a few dihrams to pay the wage bill.
I see Bolton are selling all seats for a FIVER, Festive Fiver they call it, I wonder if this is because they think the gate is going to be low because of Christmas coming up ,or is GFC just not a good draw, I hope the former ??

I think Monday nights in general aren't all that great unless you are very local!
