Record breaking season!

Postby Garawa » Sun Nov 06, 2016 10:24 am

3 club records set in 4 days!!!

Not ones we'd want though!
1. Longest run of league and cup games without a clean sheet after Brackley scored (28 beating the 27 from the 1933/4 season).
2. Lowest ever home FA Cup crowd beating the 2,654 that saw Bristol City a couple of years ago.
3. Tuesday we are set to take less than 20 fans to West Brom who are expecting less than a hundred of their own fans. They are planning to open just one block and it will be by far the lowest crowd for a "competitive" Gills fixture! This season is turning from brilliant to appalling and we are barely into November!

If your Chelsea, and over the last few years you have been near the top of every competition you have entered, you can " get away " with putting rubbish on the field while you rebuild for a year or so. If your a First Division side like Gillingham the lack of interest when your doing badly shows up like a sore thumb. Who the hell wants to go to WBA to watch us play a side that consists of no one anyone has ever heard of , and a 20-0 win for Gillingham would mean nothing ?? I wonder who are these 20 people that get the afternoon off work to go to the Midlands to watch a Saturday morning pub footie game , more to the point who would want to go ??
Come on Mr. Scally get this mess sorted out today, the long suffering fans don't deserve another drop into to the Fourth Division, they have suffered enough over the years for that to happen.
